Extension of a National Surveying Team

Brio Building Consultancy was engaged by a national property consultancy to provide additional surveying resource in support of a large-scale housing stock condition survey programme for a local authority housing provider.

The commission involved undertaking stock condition surveys and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments within occupied residential properties whilst working as part of a wider project team.

Our Approach

A key requirement of the project was the ability to integrate seamlessly with the lead consultant’s established survey methodology, reporting systems and quality assurance procedures.

Brio Building Consultancy undertook the necessary project-specific training and familiarisation processes to ensure surveys were completed consistently and in accordance with both the lead consultant’s requirements and the local authority client’s expectations.

Throughout the programme, particular emphasis was placed on professionalism, communication and resident engagement. Survey appointments were undertaken within occupied homes, requiring a considerate and respectful approach whilst maintaining programme productivity and survey quality.

The role extended beyond simply completing inspections. Brio Building Consultancy operated as an extension of the client’s own surveying team, representing their organisation professionally and delivering work in a manner consistent with their own standards and values.
