I’m Howard Edgar and I’m a Chartered Building Surveyor who, through Brio Building Consultancy, offers reliable building surveying services in an open and honest way and with a strong technical and practical focus.

A bit more about my experience

I started my career in 2008 working as a Project Surveyor on behalf of a national charity. Since then, I have worked within highly regarded national and international property consultancies (including Lambert Smith Hampton and Savills), acting for both corporate and private clients. This experience has provided exposure to a wide range of property types, construction projects and building surveying disciplines, helping me to develop a broad and practical skill set.

My approach

Integrity is really important to me and throughout my career my approach has always been to under-promise and over-deliver, be open and honest, conscientious and maintain a strong level of technical and commercial thinking at the same time.

I have a friendly and approachable way of working and I am also passionate about good communication. I am committed to ensuring that my clients are kept up-to-date throughout an instruction.

I’m based between Bristol and Bath and, outside of work, my young family takes up most of my time. However, when I can find a spare moment I enjoy DIY, restoring classic cars as well as music composition.
